Roaming Rover privacy policy
This policy explains what data the Roaming Rover game collects and why. Roaming Rover is made by Inorganic OÜ (Estonian registry code 17495342), which is the controller of that data. Contact: info@inorganic.cc.
What we collect
- Your player name. Access to the game is by invitation, and we issue each player an access key under a name agreed with them. That name identifies you in the game and is shown to other players, for example in the list of who helped build a reactor.
- Game state. Your rover's position, your in-game balance, what you are carrying, and what you have built. The game world is shared, so other players see your rover and your buildings.
- Connection history. Each time you connect, we keep a record of that session: when it started and ended, and your game state at the time.
- Technical logs. Our servers log which connection sent which game message, and when, so we can run the game and fix problems. These logs do not contain your IP address. Your device's IP address is used to deliver data to it, as with any internet service, but we do not store it.
- Email. If we invite you by email or you write to us, we keep your email address and our messages, to manage your access and to answer you.
The game does not store anything on your device beyond the app itself, and it does not read your contacts, location, photos or advertising identifier. It contains no advertising and no third-party analytics, and we do not sell or share your data for marketing.
Why
To run the game you asked to play: to let you sign in, keep your progress, show the shared world to every player in it, and keep it working. The legal basis is the performance of that service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Who else handles it
- Amazon Web Services hosts the game, in the EU (Ireland). AWS processes the data on our behalf.
- Proton AG (Switzerland) hosts our email.
- If you test the game through Apple TestFlight or Google Play, those platforms may share with us crash reports and any feedback you choose to send, under their own privacy policies.
How long
- Player data (name, game state, connection history): for as long as you have access to the game. When your access ends, or when you ask, we revoke your access key and delete it. Your name can also remain in a reactor's list of contributors; we remove it from there too if you ask.
- Technical logs: 30 days, then deleted automatically.
- Email: for as long as we need it to manage your access or answer you.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing info@inorganic.cc. You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon).
Children
Roaming Rover is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
